Charity Shop Fashion Week 2023

For the first time ever, we’re pleased to be participating in Charity Shop Fashion Week which is organised by the Charity Retail Association during Sustainable Fashion Week from 25th September - 1st October this year.

This year’s Sustainable Fashion Week theme is ‘The Rewear Revolution’, which ties in exceptionally well with charity shops! Charity Shops play a pivotal role in saving clothing from landfill and supporting sustainability by encouraging pre-loved clothes to be reloved by someone else.

Last week, several of our charity shop volunteers took part in a mini photo shoot in Faringdon town centre, under the guidance of our long-term supporter Regina Johnys who kindly donated her time and her photography skills to create these beautiful works of art. Thank you Regina, and thank you to Chantel, Chris, Hilary, Kerry and Sue for getting fully into the spirit of the morning with hidden modelling skills!

Scroll through the carousel of photos below to take a look at their outfits:

All the items you can see modelled in the photographs (except footwear, models’ own) will be for sale in either our Faringdon or Witney charity shops from today. Keep an eye on our social media pages throughout the week as we announce the sizes and makes of each of the different outfits.

Of course, your donations to and purchases from our charity shops continue to support the success of projects like Porridge Clubs in Kenya; Education All Month, Every Month and the Quentin Junior Academy nursery school in Tanzania; the SAFE Transit Home for children in Uganda; and the Education 4 All Programme helping children affected by HIV/AIDS in Zimbabwe.

If you’re inspired by these outfits and either have preloved items of your own to donate or would like to see what you can buy from our shops, we’d love to see you. Come and visit us in Faringdon, Grove or Witney!
