Our local! To celebrate our 20th Anniversary in 2026, we would love to have runners representing African Children’s Fund in this year’s popular Oxford Half Marathon.
Enjoy the sites of the historical city of Oxford in this closed-road route that starts in Mansfield Road before winding its way through the city to Old Marston past colleges and parks, and finishing back in Mansfield Road in the centre of the city.
With a course full of cheer points, supporters, entertainment and thousands of other runners, you’ll have all the motivation you need to complete your Half Marathon challenge.
Whether you’re an experienced runner or a novice looking for a new challenge, we would love you to represent Team ACF on this flat course in October 2026!

Of course, your fundraising target isn’t your fundraising ceiling! Remember, for every £9 your page raises over your target, you could provide 100 mugs of porridge to help Kenyan children go to school.
why run for african children’s fund?
The funds you raise during the Oxford Half Marathon will reduce school absence and improve long-term outcomes for children, leading to better opportunities for a future free from poverty. Donations from your supporters make a big collective difference. This is where you come in:
£12 provides a girl in Tanzania with reusable sanitary towels and access to social education forums so she won't miss one week in four of her schooling;
£20 covers the cost of a care pack for an orphaned family in Zimbabwe so they children concentrate on learning rather than working;
£90 pays for a mug of porridge for 1,000 children in Kenya, reducing the need for working, scavenging or begging for food;
£250 supports a social worker in Uganda, to resettle a child rescued from the streets with a family.
