London Marathon 2022 - introducing Allie!
We are incredibly proud and excited to announce our single TCS London Marathon charity place for 2022 has been filled. Welcome to #TeamACF, Allie Maybrey!
Allie is a long-term supporter of African Children’s Fund and has taken on previous fundraising challenges, but this one is a little different. With her 50th Birthday approaching, the TCS London Marathon on Sunday 2nd October will be one of a series of challenges Allie is undertaking under the banner: #Project50!
With a phenomenal goal of raising £2,023, her other events include:
18th/19th June 2022 - Endure24 (Reading): 50 miles. DONE! ✅️
2nd/3rd July 2022 - Endure24 (Leeds): 50 miles planned!
2nd September 2022 - Cotswold Classic 10 HILLY miles
16th October 2022 - Great South Run
8th January 2023 - San Francisco 15k: first run at 50!
14th January 2023 - Hawaii Ocean Front Marathon
Why has Allie decided to raise money for African Children’s Fund through this series of challenges?
“I have decided to take on a series of running challenges to raise funds for this wonderful, local, small charity. I am passionate about the work they do and I firmly believe every child and young person deserves an education and a safe environment to grow up in.”
Though she has taken part in the Virtual London Marathon previously, this is the first time Allie will be joining the masses starting in Greenwich on 2nd October so keep your eyes peeled for an African Children’s Fund t-shirt among the thousands of other runners!
