£100 Challenge - Captain Tom 100

Inspired by the Captain Tom 100, we are very pleased to launch our £100 Challenge.

In a similar fundraising call to last year’s 2.6 Challenge, the Captain Tom 100 celebrates Captain Sir Tom Moore’s achievements and reminds us of his “Tomorrow will be a good day” message. The event is open to all charities and it encourages us to take part in 100-themed challenges, and to 'do it our way’!

£100 makes a huge difference to our partners in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe and over the next four weeks, we’ll be sharing stories to highlight the impact of £100, starting with children at the Quentin Junior Academy in Tanzania.

How £100 will enable a preschool child to safely attend nursery instead of going to dangerous work environments with their parents:

  • Porridge breakfast for a year £20

  • Stationery, books, toys and games £35

  • Snacks and bottled water for a year £30

  • Sleeping mat and blanket £15

Could you contribute to any of these costs?

We encourage you to donate whatever you like on JustGiving or Facebook, whenever you like between now and 9th May, and let’s see how many hundred pounds we can raise for children born into poverty!
