Christmas Gift Appeal 2020

After a year we’ll never forget, we are proud to launch our 2020 appeal to make a child’s Christmas a little brighter.

A group of children wearing green school uniforms and grey shorts outside a classroom, each holding a yellow pencil aloft and looking happy.

This year, we are aiming to buy 100 gifts for children born into poverty in Kenya whose year has been severely disrupted due to Coronavirus. Most children have been out of school since March when Coronavirus restrictions forced Kenyan schools to close. While some examination year groups returned in October, schools won’t reopen fully until 4th January 2021.

Each gift will cost just £7 and will include items a child needs to return to school as well as a toy or a game:

  • A pack of 5 face masks

  • A stationery set (including exercise books, coloured pencils, erasers and a geometry set)

  • Soap

  • A football or a board game

While shopping this Christmas, we would be delighted if you could donate £7 for a gift to make a Kenyan child’s Christmas a little brighter.

If you would like to ‘gift’ your gift to a friend or family member, we would be happy to send you a voucher. Please contact us with your donation reference and we’ll arrange the rest!

We understand that circumstances are difficult for everyone this year. If you aren’t in a position to buy a gift, you can still get involved by sharing our appeal with your friends and family. Remember to use the hashtag #ACFXmas20 on social media so we can see the message spreading far and wide!
