To coincide with African Children’s Fund’s 20th Anniversary, we are very excited to confirm we have a charity place in the 2026 TCS London Marathon and we would LOVE you to represent us on the streets of London on Sunday 26th April.
You could join over 55,000 other runners in Blackheath or Greenwich Park to line up for the start of the 2026 TCS London Marathon, while raising funds to help even more children go to school and create better opportunities for a more prosperous future.
The iconic 26.2 mile route takes in many of the city's famous landmarks including the Cutty Sark, Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge and the Houses of Parliament before finishing outside Buckingham Palace on The Mall.

FUNDRAISING TARGETS:
£50 registration fee + £1,800 minimum fundraising target
Of course, your fundraising target isn’t your fundraising ceiling! Remember, for every £9 your page raises over your target, you could provide 100 mugs of porridge to help Kenyan children go to school.

why rUN FOR aFRICAN CHILDREN’S fUND?
The funds you raise during your sponsored challenge will reduce school absence and improve long-term outcomes for children, leading to better opportunities for a future free from poverty. Donations from your supporters make a big collective difference.
This is where you come in:
£12 provides a girl in Tanzania with reusable sanitary towels and access to social education forums so she won't miss one week in four of her schooling;
£20 covers the cost of a care pack for an orphaned family in Zimbabwe so they children concentrate on learning rather than working;
£90 pays for a mug of porridge for 1,000 children in Kenya, reducing the need for working, scavenging or begging for food;
£250 supports a social worker in Uganda, to resettle a child rescued from the streets with a family.
AND for every £9 you raise over your minimum fundraising target, you will provide 100 extra mugs of porridge to children born into poverty.
PLUS you can tick a Marathon off your bucket list.
