World Porridge Day 2020

For World Porridge Day 2020 on Saturday 10th October, we are calling on you to help provide 2,000 mugs of porridge to children born into poverty, through school Porridge Clubs.

Whether you are planning to buy porridge or enjoy porridge on your own or with friends and family (in line with national or local Government restrictions on social distancing), please consider making a donation. For every £7 you donate will provide, our partners will provide 100 mugs of porridge to children at school, so they don't have to work, scavenge or beg on the streets for food and can attend school safe in the knowledge they will be fed.

Brenda was supported by school Porridge Clubs in her senior years at primary school and she is now an Advocate at the High Court of Kenya. She says:

I learnt through this project that a little support goes a long way. Supporting people gives them hope; where there is hope, people can dream; and when people freely dream, they get vision and purpose which gives them a chance to be something.

Please help children like Brenda by donating whatever you can afford this World Porridge Day. Thank you.

Please spread the word, let your friends know and enjoy some tasty porridge on Saturday morning while donating whatever you can afford. Maybe even send us a Porridge Selfie while you're there! - either email it to us or post it on our Facebook or Twitter pages.

Thank you in advance for your kind support. #PenniesForPorridge
